Computing Essentials 1

Introduction to computers course that includes the most recent developments in the computer industry, computer applications, the Internet, and the components of a computer system. Laboratory exercises stress Microsoft Office 2007 application programs such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database. Computing Essentials 1 gives you the experience of an online college course. Classes are in a face-to-face environment where facilitated learning occurs. Students also utilize an online course management program called Moodle, participating in forum discussions, tracking assignments and deadlines, accessing resources, and uploading assignments.

Computer course designed to develop skills to solve problems using common microcomputer software. Topics include microcomputer fundamentals, word processing, electronic spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. Computing Essentials 2 gives you the experience of an online college course.
