All Children Must Be Ready for a Different World
Our Educational System Must Produce Technology Capable Kids
To live, learn, and work successfully in an increasingly complex and information-rich society, students must be able to use technology effectively. Within an effective educational setting, technology can enable students to become:
  • Capable information technology users
  • Information seekers, analyzers, and evaluators
  • Problem solvers and decision makers
  • Creative and effective users of productivity tools
  • Communicators, collaborators, publishers, and producers
  • Informed, responsible, and contributing citizens

Bearing that thought, I'm excited about the upcoming year, in particular, I look forward to integrating Web 2.0 tools such as blogs and wikis into my Educational Foundations classes. Students will work collaboratively to construct learning that will better serve the needs of the 21st Century workplace, communications, learning, and life.
