I have been teaching at White Deer for 23 years mostly 2nd and 3rd grades, but have also taught 4th and 5th.

I love teaching here and feel that we all need to make a positive impact on our youth by showing support to our school and community leaders.    I strongly support our athletics, starting all the way down with the Mean Machine teams up through high school sports.  FFA is a very important part of our family activities because all of our kids show pigs yearly as their FFA project.  I am part of the Athletic Booster Club as well as the Band Boosters.  Scouting programs are so important to our youth and I praise the leaders here that keep it going.  I actually led a group of boys one year in Webloes.

My children are Shea, my twenty year-old daughter who is a Texas Longhorn in Austin, Trevor my very entertaining 16 year-old teenager and my youngest is Elaine.  She is 14 and a freshman learning the ways of high school.

I am married to Shawn Craig who also has his roots here in our great community.  We love our town and wish for it's growth and prosperity through change, but yet tradition too.  We know that starts with an elite school with community support.

I volunteer in the community with our annual Kick Back Day and rodeo and we are members of the United Methodist church here in White Deer.

Thanks to all of you who have let me touch your child's life in some way.  I know you are also helping to mold my own children through that small-town comaraderie that is so important.  So if you see my kids doing something good, pat 'em on the back, if they are doing something not-so-good, be sure to have a little talk with them.  After all, "It takes a village".
