Welcome!

Whew!  We've made through our first quarter together without too many casualties! 

I'd like to thank all of you for attending your child's parent teacher conference.  I had some great conversations and appreciate the support you've shown towards our efforts.

During the 2nd quarter, keep in mind a couple of things as we continue along our merry path together:

1.)  We have another 5 paragraph writing assignment beginning this week.  "If you were President what crazy new laws would you pass?"  This is to be a fun narrative essay limited only by your child's imagination.

2.)  Remember the "Reading Logs".  I'm hoping that the kids are doing this routinely without too much prompting from their folks.

3.)  "Progress Reports" come out about every 2 -3 weeks.  Nov. 10th is your next one.

4.)  Check out our slideshows.  We have "Jog-a-thon" photos for everyone to view.

Two-Way Dialogue

Communication with each other is vital to all our success!  As we continue our partnership in your child's education and development, please contact me if you have any concerns or questions.  Your child's academic progress and "student life" at school are very important to me.  So let's speak freely, often, and honestly about our affairs here in Room 12. 

Please remember, I am available for calls before 8:30 a.m. and after 3:00 p.m. each school day.  If I am unavailable, please leave a message and I will try to return it promptly.  I also check my email frequently throughout the day.  Finally, I'm happy to important  phone calls at home, but please try to call before 9:00 pm. (My wife Joanie, will appreciate it!)
