Classroom Rules

It feels good to be good.  

Rules:

1. Come to school prepared.

2. Respect yourself and others.

3. Always raise your hand before you talk.

4. Listen with your ears and eyes.

5. Stop, think, and never give up!

Behavior Card System:

To help the students self monitor their behavior and become more independent I will be using a behavior card system.  It will consist of a board with each child's name on a section of the board.  Everyday, all of the students will begin the day with a white card above their name.  If a student breaks a classroom rule or a school rule, they will be asked to turn their card to green, which means that they have been warned.  If a student breaks a rule for the second time they will again be asked to turn their card to yellow, which means that they will lose time off recess in order to complete an extra assignment.  If a rule is broken for the third time, the student will be asked to turn their card to orange, which means they will get a note or a phone call home.  Finally, if a student breaks the rules for a fourth time, they will be asked to turn their card to red, which means that they will be sent to the principal's office.
