About the Teacher

       August 2009

       Hello my name is Amanda Casey. I was born in Jackson, Tennessee. My parents are Billy & Annie Pomeroy of Bradford. I grew up on a small farm in the west portion of Madison County.

       I graduated from South Side High School in 1996, with a small scholarship to play softball for Jackson State Community College. I received my associate’s degree and then went on to receive my bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis.

I currently hold a master’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in leadership .

       I have been married to my wonderful husband, Chuck, for 9 years. He is the Gibson County Game Warden. We have 1 child, Amelia, she will be 3 years of age in November.  We live in Medina and are active members of Antioch Baptist Church.
