Homework Policy

Homework Letter

         Homework will begin today, Monday, September 14^th. The homework that is assigned is given to reinforce the skills that we are currently working on in the classroom, so it is important that the homework is completed.  There is a place on the first grade report card where homework is “marked”.

          Every Monday your child will come home with a homework packet. The packet is due on Friday (it should go in your child’s traveling folder). The homework packet will consist of the following:

1. Reading and Reader’s Response (directions for what to do will be in the homework packet)

2. Word/Spelling activities  

3. Math assignments: Each math assignment will have a date on it. Please do each math assignment on that particular day.

Please do not go ahead because that particular skill may not have been taught yet.

4. Occasionally there will be assignments from various curricular areas.

 If you have any questions about the homework packet, please do not hesitate to contact me. If your child has difficulty during the week with any of the assignments, please let me know. Thank you so much for your constant support!
