Do you know what you want to do after high school?  Have you given any thought to the countless opportunities that are before you? The career center is full of resources that can help you decide what to do after high school.  All students and parents are welcome. Call Ms. Waldman @ 248-586-8707.

 

Interest Inventory

Match your interests to a career with interest inventory programs.

 

Career Search

What do conspiracy theorists do?  What does it take to be a forensic scientist? Find out how to succeed in the career of your choice.  In the career center you can easily learn about salary, education, qualifications, working conditions and outlook for the future in your chosen career field. 

 

Continuing Education

High school students can improve their prospects for future employment by setting goals for education after graduation. Are you interested in attending a 4-year college or university? A 2-year college? A certificate or apprenticeship program? Military training? Work on long and short term goals and know your future educational path.

 

Summer Programs and Workshops

Colleges offer many summer programs in academic concentrations, athletics and special interests.  Some of these are free, or offered at a minimal cost to students. Workshops are available for ACT and SAT and MME preparation. Take advantage of these programs and improve your resume.

 

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Watch the Senior Bulletins for scholarship opportunities and apply for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Forms are available in the counseling center and a January financial aid night will give valuable information on student financial aid. Ms. Waldman is available to help families navigate the financial aid form. Call 248-586-8707.

 

Job Search

Do you need to find a full time job after school is over? Do you qualify for government training?  The Career Center can point you in the right direction to find employment.

 

Employability Skills
