Our Math book is Saxon Math 5/4 (2004) by Stephen Hake & John Saxon of Saxon Publishers.  Our book contains 120  lessons. We will complete all lessons and investigations in our book.  Each lesson begins with an explanation and examples, then a lesson practice.  Usually the mixed practice is our homework.  I do not usually assign all of the problems so listen carefully to the directions given in class.  At least once a week we will do the entire mixed practice. I do expect students to show their work when solving problems. All Math tests will be given on Wednesday, with a review to be completed by students on Tuesday.  This review needs to be checked at home then signed and returned.  We review all of the problems before the test and discuss any individual problems as necessary.  Each day, if time permits, I give students time to work on their Math assignment.  I want to give them the opportunity to ask questions if necessary.  From time to time I will give opportunities for extra credit in Math. When determining six weeks averages I drop the lowest daily grade.  No test grades are ever dropped.
