Hello! My name is Amy Siler Thornton, but you can call me Mrs. Amy. I teach first grade at Dyer Elementary School. When I was a child I attended Dyer School, then in 1987, I graduated from Gibson County High School. In 1992, I graduated from Middle Tennseessee State University in Murfreesboro with a degree in Elementary Education. I completed my masters degree in Teaching & Learning with Technology from Ashford University in December of 2009.

I live outside of Dyer with my husband Mr. Chuck and my two children, Sarah Catherine (10th grade) and Siler (8th grade). We have two cats(Ozzy & Mo), and three dogs (Pete, Brownie, & Emmy).

I have lots of fun activities planned for this year. You have lots to learn before you progress to second grade so let's get busy.......
