Homework Homework

***Please remember to check your child's folder every Tuesday and Thursday for the Kindergarten homework sheet.  The homework pages will be opportunities for you and your child to practice skills already discovered in the classroom.  Sitting with your child while he/she is completing his/her printing homework can give your child a safe place to practice important skills and receive positive feedback.  Homework sheets are optional.

Think about...

**Is my child holding the pencil correctly?
**Is he sitting up straight with feet under the table?
**Is the paper slanted to the left (right-handed) or the right (left-handed)?
**Is she printing carefully, thoughtfully and slowly? (When coloring, the same questions apply.)
**Is my child "going the extra mile"...printing extra letters on the back of the page, using different color crayons or markers after the print work is finished, drawing and labeling pictures on the back of the page that begin with the letter on the front of the page.

These good habits will stay with your child if practiced now.
Thank you for helping us teach these lifelong skills to your child!

Sometimes, the homework papers will be displayed for the KS Family to see (if your child agrees).

***Tuesday homework will be printed on a blue piece of paper.  It is due Wednesday.

***Thursday homework will be printed on a green piece of paper.  It is due Friday.
