Monday Folders and Agenda Books

Each Monday, your child will bring home his/her Take Home Folder.  All work that is graded as well as work that is completed/but not graded, will come home in this folder.  Important information and flyers from the front office will be included in this folder.  Most importantly, on Mondays, I will post our newsletter on our class website.  Any assessments or other work that I will need returned will be stamped as “Sign and Return”.  As a part of continuing to help your child build responsibility, students must return these signed papers.  This will be an opportunity for earning tickets in our classroom.  Some days fliers may be sent home last minute after Monday folders have gone home. 

Additionally, on Mondays, students will record classroom activities, assessments and coming events in their agendas.  Each student needs their agenda signed by a parent.  This two-way communication lets me know you are aware of what is happening in our classroom and at our school.  Daily homework (math, for example) will be recorded in agendas as I assign it but not always on Mondays.
