Each day, your child will bring home his/her Take Home Binder.  All work that is graded as well as work that is completed, but not graded, will come home in this binder.  *Class news will be posted on our class website every Monday.  If you do not have internet, please let me know so I can send home a paper newsletter in your child's binder. Important information and flyers from the front office will be included in this binder.  5th Grade Standards, Vocabulary, Writer's Survival Kit/Writing tips, and other important documents will be stored in binders for your child to be responsible for. Binders will need to be kept organized and be easily accessible for reference at any given time at school and home.  Basically, binders are a BIG deal!

Additionally, on Mondays, students will record classroom activities, assessments, homework assignments and coming events in their agendas.  If your child is unable to complete this activity in class or is absent, your child can always find the assignments on the classroom website under "Class News" or "Homework".   Each student needs their agenda signed by a parent on Monday afternoons.  This two-way communication lets me know you are aware of what is happening in our classroom and at our school. Daily homework (math, for example) will be recorded in agendas as I assign it but not always on Mondays.  You may also find all technology website log-ins & passwords taped in the front of your child's agenda for access at home and school.

Examples: Edmodo,  A.R., Xtramath, Ten Marks, Scootpad, Prodigy Math, etc.

Binders and agendas need to come back to school daily in backpacks.  They are just as important as your child's lunch, P.E. shoes, etc.
