My name is Amanda Hollis, 8th grade (class of 2014) counselor at Ferndale Middle School.  I have been working in Ferndale for the past 7 years, starting as the 7th and 8th grade health teacher.  In 2007 I received my masters’ degree in Leadership and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and was granted the opportunity to move from the classroom to the counseling center.  Some of my duties include, but are not limited to - - scheduling students, individual and/or group counseling, test coordinator at FMS, advocating for students, assisting and/or aiding students and parents whenever possible, consult with administrators, staff and parents to enhance and support student successfulness.
