HOW TO CHECK YOUR YOUTH PROTECTION DATE OR TAKE THE ON-LINE COURSE. 1) Goto: http://www.fingerlakescouncil.orghttp://www.fingerlakescouncil.org/training.html 2) click on the "MyScouting" link on the top right of the page (it's colored red). 3) If you have an accout already, enter your e-mail address and password. Proceed to step 5. 4) If you do not already have an account, click on the link to create your account. Follow the instruction to create your account. You will need to choose our council from the drop down list. We are Pack 60. You must be a registered Adult Volunteer. You will also need to enter your member ID. This is present on your BSA membership card. Note: New leaders may have not yet received their membership cards from council. These will usually be delivered to the units and placed in your family mailbox to be picked up at Pack meetings. If you do not currently know your membership ID number, you should be able to call Finger Lakes Council office to have it looked up for you as long as your leader scout application has been submitted to them. The council office phone number is 315-789-1166 . 5) click on "E-LEARNING" on the right hand side of the screen. 6) In the middle of the screen you will see "Youth Protection Training". You can click to view your most recent on-line certificate to see the date you last passed the on-line course. Although the certificate indicates the certificate is good for 2 years from that date, our council has a stiffer requirement that youth protection training must be completed every year. If you are still within date, please provide me with the date of your training via e-mail. You can print out the certificate to give to me in person or grab a screen shot of it to send to me at pcsousa12@yahoo.com. If you don't know how to do that please at least e-mail the completion date so we can mark the date of your training until we receive the printed copy. If you're out of date, please retake the course. It should take around 20 minutes the first time. --- On Wed, 1/7/09, Amy Heltz <aheltz@rochester.rr.com> wrote: From: Amy Heltz <aheltz@rochester.rr.com> |
