Test Taking Tips

 Test Taking Tips

As you know you will be taking the New York State tests in Language Arts and Math this year.

Don't Worry!!

We will be preparing and practicing for these exams each day and you will be ready when it is time to take the exams.

Here are some tips for taking any test....

  • Prepare!! Get a good night's rest the night before
  • Eat a good protein rich breakfast on the day of the test
  • Listen carefully to all directions given by the teacher
  • READ ALL DIRECTIONS FOR EACH SECTION OF THE TEST AND EACH QUESTION CAREFULLY!!
  • Take your time
  • Show all work for math problems
  • Underline and highlight important words in paragraphs and in the question!!
  • CHECK YOUR WORK!!
  • Be sure all "bubbles" on answer sheets are completely colored
  • Have confidence!! You can do it when you try your best!!!
