Mrs. Pelletier's Page Homework: My reading students will continue to bring home their bags with books in them Monday through Thursday. These books are at each student's level. Most of these books have already been read by your child. He/She will be rereading the text to you. It is important that your child reads aloud to you every night. If you are busy, have your child read to an older sibling, babysitter, grandparent, etc. These books can be used for a classroom teacher's reading requirement, too. Students do not have to do additional reading. If summary writing is a requirement from a classroom teacher, these books can be used for that, as well. Discussing the elements of the story, such as character, setting, and plot, can assist your child when she/he has to write a summary for class. Some students have sight word cards to study, as well. Memorizing sight words improves their fluency. If you would like to contact me at any time, my email address is Kpell@atlantiscs.org. You may also write a note on the homework paper that is included in your child's bag. I look at that every day. Please, don't forget to sign your name on the homework paper!
