A Message from the ACS Parent Group
The Parent Group has many exciting events planned for the ACS community, but they can’t happen without your help. We are asking for volunteers to help in the categories listed below. Please take a moment to see which opportunities interest you. You can email questions to molly.penney@atlantiscs.org or call the Family Learning Center at (508)235-4017or (508)646-6410 ext. 2002 or 2003 for more infotmation ot to sign up to help at an event. Movie nights Collect tickets, pick up pizza, or work at concession stand Bingo for Books grades K-4 Help with set-up and Bingo Board Game Night grades 5-8 Help set up and with activities Mother & Son Event Great volunteer opportunity for Dads! Details to be determined Teacher Appreciation Week What: plan events to show the teachers & staff our gratitude for all they do for our children, set-up, serve and clean-up at events during the week of the event Time commitment: a few hours in planning as well as an hour or two during the week of the event No cost fundraising What: sort Box Tops and Campbell’s labels for submission. Time commitment: 1 hour When: immediately following parent group meetings Help from home What: Assist with various projects. May include making phone calls, putting things together, sorting & some computer work Time commitment: minimal When: as needed Uniform Swap Shop What: help to check in donated uniforms during donation periods, maintain inventory, tag & sort uniform items, assist shoppers during swap times Time commitment: a few hours every few months When: TBD The Charter Chatter Newsletter What: help to gather information to be printed in the newsletter Time commitment: a few hours a month, mostly by phone or email. We ask for a 1-year commitment When: monthly
