Welcome to 2nd Grade Math! 

Welcome back to Atlantis Charter School for another great year of learning and growing together.  We have a great year of learning in store for the 2nd grade students in math!!  Please feel free to navigate this site to learn more about our policies, procedures, and other pertinent information regarding math for the upcoming year.  This year, Atlantis will continue to use the Add+Vantage Math approach.  Please see below to find out more about it. 

What is Add+Vantage Math?

Add+Vantage Math: Add+Vantage Math is a wonderful assessment-based program being integrated into the Mathematics Curriculum at ACS.  There are five very specific assessments that the Math teacher implements with children one-on-one.  Each assessment focusses on an early numeracy skill, and is designed to indicate the child's strengths and weaknesses in that area.  The results of these assessments are used to drive instruction and provide your child with specific activities that target their needs and further their abilities as early mathematicians.

The most exciting part of Add+Vantage Math is students can be working in the Math Lab on the same activities/classwork but at their own independent levels and in number ranges that best suit their young math minds!!
