Here are some potentially helpful sites that you can access using the internet two of them we use here at the school and there are a plethora of other sites for your learning and viewing pleasure if you so choose to enter the World Wide Web! Study Island simply log onto the school website and click on the resources site and the click Study Island each student has a Study Island account and it can be accessed outside of school. An alternative to this would be to log onto www.studyisland.com and follow the directions above. Every student is familiar with the site and it can be useful in all aspects of math. Another helpful website is the book website that all students have access to as well. There is homework assistance available and a tutorial that gives a personal tutorial by lesson right on the website. You can access the Holt, Reinhart, Winston site by going to www.hrw.com it is easy to navigate from there. Regular 8th grade Math students can use Course Three and Algebra 8th grade Math students can use the Algebra 1 book. Please email me with any problems or concerns. These are two of the sites that are specifically used here at the school and your children are well aware of just how useful these sites can be when used properly. I have found that there are a variety of different sites that students can use to help themselves when they are troubled with a mathematic concept. In fact there are too many to list. A simple Google search can lead you to many helpful sites none of which I will recommend over another. The more specific the search the better the results I find so be sure to include items such as, grade level, specific content and if you are looking for a lesson, practice items or interactive material. The information is endless.
