On this page, you will be able to access curriculum highlights that your child is learning in class. I will also provide ideas that you can implement at home in order to help your child succeed.
Our Trimester 2 Schedule is as follows:
Monday- Art
Tuesday- Art
Wednesday- Music
Thursday- Swim Time
Friday- Music
Please note that Science Lab is also scheduled for every Tuesday (whole group) and Thursday (small groups) during Trimester Two. Library time has been scheduled every other week on Monday, and on the off week, students will work on computer skills.
My homework policy is very straightforward. Students will be required to read each night for 30 minutes and log in the material that was read. You will also be asked to sign each night verifying that your child has read. Incomplete reading logs will lower your child’s reading grade. Also, I will assign some component of balanced literacy as an additional activity during the week. Occasionally I may assign homework in other subject areas. It is so important that your child completes his/her homework consistently and with their best effort. If a student chooses not to complete their homework, they will be asked to complete their work at some point during the day when they are given free time. As a reminder, agendas should be signed on a nightly basis.
