Homework in 2C will be assigned Monday through Thursday.  Homework Logs will be filled out in the morning and placed in the back of your child's red folder.  It is your child's responsibility to check his/her homework log every night to ensure that all assignments have been completed. Homework is expected to be completed and returned the following morning.  Students who do not complete the homework assignment will be asked to complete it during their recess time.  Repeated abuse of the homework policy willl result in a detention.

Although there will be no homework assigned over the weekend (language arts or math), students will still be expected to complete their required 15-20 minutes of reading.  They will have 3 nights (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) to complete the required 15-20 minutes for the weekend.

Please remember that homework is an extension of what goes on in the classroom and counts as a grade.  I have the same expectations for homework that I do for classwork.  All homework should include a first and last name along with the date.  It should also represent the best work that your child can do. I will not be accepting work that is poorly done (represents little to know effort) or is missing the name and date.  If the homework assignment requires coloring, I expect it to be colored  with crayon or marker (preferably crayon). All homework needs to be returned to school the following day in your child's red folder.  I strongly suggest that you check your child's homework nightly to ensure that it is done to the best of his/her ability and that he/she understands the concept addressed. Also, reading logs need to be filled out by the student not the parent.
