Welcome to World Dynamics!
World Dynamics will be taught using thematic units that integrate the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for World History, Earth Science, and English I. We will begin with an introduction of the development of the earth and the rise of civilizations. During the first half of the course, we will explore the six inhabited continents. Through this journey around the world we will focus on early civilization development, geography, and the influences of earth/environmental concepts as change agents. During the second half of the course, we will examine ‘modern history’ and global environmental issues that have affected and have resulted from human action. The English I component will be taught through the other two contents and will be continually assessed through PDSA methods and county developed assessments in order to prepare for the NC English I EOC in May.
