My name is Mrs. Amanda Bashore and I am excited to be back for the 2011-2012 school year.  During the 2010-2011 school year, I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay home with my newborn daughter, Kendall.  Prior to last year, I was the Learning Support teacher at Peters Elementary for one year and a fifth grade Learning Support teacher at Slatington Elementary for four years.

        I am a graduate from Whitehall High School.  I received my Bachelor's degree from Kutztown University with dual certification in Special Education/Elementary Education.  I completed my certification and Master's degree as a Reading Specialist in 2009.  I currently reside in Whitehall with my husband, Jon, our one-year old daughter, Kendall, and our black lab, Coby.  In my spare time I love to spend time with my family, take walks, swim, go to the beach, and read.
