	Six Fund Raising Events

Fund Raising Events are the most essential and integral parts to maintaining this successful and enriching program for our children. The success of each of the fund raising events depends on all the band members and their families' participation. We have six fund raising events throughout the year.

Tag Day September 12, 2009

Annual Tag day is the first fund raising event of the school year for the Band Boosters. Band members are asked to spend time collecting donations door to door. Or a Band member can sign up for a two hour slot at one of the approved collection sites. Adults are need to chaperone the approved site solicitations and as collectors at the approved intersections. Adults are also needed to be assigned as a neighborhood captains to help distribute cans, tags and to collect and return donations from their neighborhood. Value Card Sale Begins October 1, 2008

Once again we have put together an EJH “value” card for our fall fundraiser. We have exciting offers from some new vendors as well as some improved offers from vendors of last year. These cards will provide discounts to a variety of restaurants and other services primarily located in the Darien area.

Every Band Member will have an opportunity to sell these with incentives to sell additional cards beyond the “required” number. Details of the incentive plan will be provided when cards are distributed. Cards will be available around October 1^st.

Band Chocolate Sale Begins January 14, 2009

This sale is definitely for the sweet tooth. This fund raiser is the annual chocolate sale. Band members will have a variety of chocolate to sell door to door. There will also be sale sites throughout the community. Band members and adult chaperones are needed for these sites. To volunteer please call Antonio Moreno and Irma Maciel at 630-493-9952.

Band Boosters Spaghetti Dinner February 15, 2009

Come and join other band members,their friends and relatives for an afternoon of good food and the smooth sounds of jazz performed by the EJH Jazz Band and Alumni. Help is always needed for this event. Please call the Andersen's at 630-663-0266 to sign up to help.

Market Day

The Eisenhower Junior High School Student Council has given two of their Market Days to the Band Program. One Market Day will be in February and the other will be the traditional June Market Day. Please help both School's organizations by placing orders throughout the year. The Market Day Web site link is located at the bottom of this page for your convenience to place your orders on line.

June Car Wash

This fund raiser usually helps fund part of the Six Flags Great America Performance. Even though the band performs, the band still has to pay (discounted rate) to spend the day at the park.
