The NAIS 20/20 Challenge

St. Francis School (Goshen, Kentucky, USA)

Creston College (Oslo Beach, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa)

According to the influential book High Noon, there are twenty major problems facing the world - and we only have twenty years to fix them!  The gauntlet has been laid down.  As part of the 20/20 Challenge sponsored by the National Association of Independent Schools, a group of St. Francis eighth graders have teamed with students from Creston College in South Africa to research global and regional impediments to education.  Solutions are being sought to provide "Education for All."  The St. Francis 20/20 group, which will spearhead a wider school effort, is currently engaged in diagnosing Kentucky's education problems.  They are communicating via internet-teleconferencing with South African students who are examining education problems unique to the KwaZulu-Natal region.
